Images

Images can be used in the classroom to make students think and reflect on a certain topic. They can also be used to lead a discussion or question. Images are a great tool because they engage the students and act as a strong aid for students that are visual learners.

The image above was used in a SOSE unit called "Water wise". It was used to introduce the topic and engage the students into the effects that water consumption can have on the environment. I found this image to be strong because it relates to the students directly. The image also led into questioning and discussion into the reasons for the low water in this area and the possible effects this could have on the local environment.
